Regen Nutrition Project
Understanding How Land Management Practices Shape the Nutritional Quality of Our Food
A New Project
The Nutrient Density Alliance and Edacious are leading an innovative new project to explore how food production practices influence the nutritional quality of a wide variety of foods — fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, dairy, and animal products!
How It Works
Nutrient Density Alliance members and partners are invited to participate by submitting their products for advanced nutritional testing. Enrollment is open on a rolling basis!
Participants will receive:
Detailed nutrient profiles of their products
Side-by-side comparisons with conventionally raised samples
Access to aggregated project findings that highlight observed variability across production systems
This project is an early assessment—focused on capturing real-world data at retail. While it won’t yet explain all the reasons for nutrient variation, it provides valuable insights to guide future investigations and decision-making.

Ready to Participate in the Regen Nutrition Project?
To join, you’ll need to be a member of the Nutrient Density Alliance. Not a member yet? No problem! Visit our Member Benefits page to learn how to join and explore all the great benefits of membership.
Here’s How to Get Involved in the Project:
Fill out this form: Be sure to note that you're an NDA member so we can confirm your eligibility.
Hear from Edacious: Their team will follow up to confirm your participation, help you set up your account, and send detailed instructions for sample collection and shipping (based on your product type).
Send in your samples: Ship your samples to the Edacious Lab using the instructions provided.
Get your results: You'll receive a report on your product’s nutrient density—and the option to share your results with your community.
Nutrient Density Data Explorer 📊
Dive deeper into our nutrient density testing with the Nutrient Density Data Explorer, an interactive data notebook developed in collaboration with Edacious. Use this tool to:
Explore nutrient outcomes from diverse farming systems
Visualize nutrient density trends across products, soils, and regions
Compare regenerative vs. conventional practices in delivering vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients
Filter and segment data by product type, geographic area, or farming method
Export insights for use in reports, presentations, or further analysis
Whether you're exploring soil health–nutrition linkages or simply curious about what regenerative farming delivers to our plates, this tool brings the science to life.
